Anyone here know much about Hondas?

I'm trying to set the ignition timing on an old B20a prelude with an electronic distributor.
Even with the distributor at full advance it can't quite reach the 20deg specified.
It would seem as though the cam timing is out but both cam gears line up with the notches on the valve cover, I bridged what I think is the service connector next to the vacum box but it made no difference.

ANY ideas??

I've only ever worked on wife's shitbox Civics. Spare connectors all over the damn place. The EFI car has a service connector tucked up between the passenger A pillar and glovebox. It's a small two wire plug. There is a second one too for the Auto gearbox on her car.

Ok my bad, the crank was a tooth out in relation to the cam gears.
The factory tdc marks are a bit misleading but since sorting it all out the car running beautifully now :D

I thought they were!
How it is setup now, The pointer on the oil pump housing is pointing half way between two teeth on the crank pulley, not at the dot as would be logical. Damn Hondas, Mum's v6 Galant was easier than this
