I was racing last Sunday, bumps didn't seem too bad at all.
Full on race cars maybe rattle around a bit more though.

havent been out to Pukekohe for over a year... (high 1.17's with melting front tyres  )

When traversing the bumps at the end of the front straight I used to hit my head on the targa glass, but judging by the TV footage it seems like there are some new ones on the inside of the sweeper that look rather treacherous - at the entrance to the horse track (@%@#% horsists!)

No more trackdays for me though - the MR2 has to go (wifely logic prevails - why do we need three cars she says...)

Too true! Bring on Hampton downs though

I don't mind them but banging your head constantly on the roof is VERY distracting lol

I will be there in my "returned from the dead" Carina! It's only been 2 1/2 years! What a slack arse I am!

Glenn ez10s (1UZ Carina!) and about 8 other guys are taking starlets, markIIs, carinas and a 300C Chrysler!

We will be the ones having a big social time with bbq, deck chairs etc.

Ken
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Not too bad, was the first time I had taken my bzg to puke.
Need more power though, I think I reached the point where the grip exceeded the amount of speed I could get out of the car. Foot flat to the floor from the hairpin down to the sweeper and then not using brakes. I think my car is better off on a track with more corners.
No in car video, will have to see if anyone else took some.

You should be able to keep it flat from hairpin through Ford hill and onto the front straight. I couldn't though haha

I got heaps of understeer coming into the hairpin and also a fair bit coming onto the back straight....

Unsure how to tackle that yet.....

Cant wait for tomorrow OMG :D :D :D :D :D

I still cant get over that - I wasn't going slow - and you were still 11 seconds faster than me LOL

What tyres were you running?

If you count out 11 seconds - its a hell of a long time - especially on a ~1 minute track!

No, you must of been going slow. lol.
Toyo R888s.
Next time out i'm aiming for 1.03s - That will be some hardcore driving!

Key for puke is hard spring rates on the front. And you can go over the hill and the sweeper faster than you think you can :)

Hey! I wasn't going "that" slow! I had Toyo T1R's on the front and very cheap "Duron" tyres on the rear - so it was very twitchy

I want to take off 5 seconds if the weather's right with the slicks and bigger balls LOL

Although realistically I think a 1:12 would be nice :)

You need really stiff suspension with slicks. Or they will go off very quickly.
