Postby GTTpower » Sun Apr 19, 2009 8:06 am

Saw a thread on Pcar forums that said they ran a new pb, 6.67@209mph. Cant confirm it but they must be close or have beaten the Australian Import record :D

the engine is titan motorsport which built the car also?

That car was the old Scranton Bros racing "Celica", not Titans - presumeably they have stayed in cahoots with Scrantons builder etc and yeah, moved to more Southern Hemisphere tuner/computer I believe.

Awesome time, very cool!

216mph is cranking, they mustive been able to run some more boost or get some more power out of it. Impressive.

No apparently Titan sent a couple of there guys down to help Gas out with car set-up and this has made a difference. Also they had a few other 6.6 runs aswell.

There is also another car that has in recent times just rolled out by Gas Motorsport in Aus its a Toyota Solara aka the Hurricane its 1st pass did a 7.1 and 2nd and 3rd passes were both 6.9s so theres another contender aswell.

Yeah its awesome, Gas still have the edge with 6.52 @ 216mph but man thats honking. Wonder if Rayglass don't quite have the power or what, they always seem to be lagging behind in trap speeds but clearly doing the numbers.
