3S camshaft compatibility

Random question...does anyone know if all (non beams) 3SGE cams are the same specs and if so are they all interchangeable with the 3SGTE items or do they have to be the same generation?

2nd gen and 3rd gen cams can be swapped - have done that myself. generally N/A cams will have approx 10 degrees more duration than turbo cams.

Yea, the na ones are different from the tc ones, but to be honest my brain is like a siff and i havnt mucked around with these for a while

I know they're different that's why I want them What I wanted to know is whether they have to be from the same generation engine

ie: Can I run Gen 3 NA cams in a Gen 2 Turbo or do the NA cams also have to be Gen 2. Some people say they're interchangeable and others say they're not....

You can run Gen III cams in a Gen II and vice versa.

The Gen III 3S-GTE inlet cam is the same cam that is used on Auto 3S-GEs from the SW20, St195(Caldina) ST202(Celica & Carina ED), ST205(Carina ED & Corona EXIV) ST206 and all 3S-GEs from the SXA10/11 Rav4s
