Heat paint/coat inside and out of manifold

Postby cat007 » Tue May 05, 2009 4:56 pm

Hey all

I've had a search around but for some stupid reason cant find anything, even though I'm sure this must've been done in the past

I have a steampipe exhaust manifold and wanting to get it heat coated inside and out

Is this worth spending the money

And if so, where to go?

Cheers

$753 for a 6 cylinder manifold - far out - what a joke

Procoat did mine.

They put a high temp coating on the inside, some green stuff, then the circachrome on the outside, to help prevent it peeling it off. Worked so far. way better than the black they put on ages ago for me.

It's faded abit right by the collector, but that was expected. but the coating is still on which is the important thing.

What did they charge you? And do you think it really helps with under bonnet temps?
