Suzuki TR50 (street magic) - Electrical issues

Postby AE86less » Wed May 13, 2009 4:43 pm

I know this isn't really what most people are into, but I'm having issues with my street magic (or rather, had issues last winter and put the bike in a corner  ).

Basically, the issues started gradually and accumulated one by one:

1. Lost the brake light
2. Indicators stopped blinking and were just solid light
3. Lost left indicator completely
4. Lost right indicator completely
5. Lost Headlight
6. No longer started

My suspicion is that it's the CDI (ecu) playing up, but I'm not confident enough of my electrical skills to be sure. Can anyone offer an hints or insight? Or, another CDI to try out :D

Sounds like a voltage regulator problem. Have you rung a motorcycle dealer and asked them?

hey man,

red baron in grey lynn sorted a few issues with my street magic when i had it (some c**t stole it, loved that bike!) so might be worth trying them.

how many kms has it done? did it stop running before or after you parked it up? did you park it in a dry place :D

also, pics!

on my Suzuki Verde the blinkers will stay solid if one of the bulbs are missing. You need the right wattage bulb, I replaced the 5W bulbs with a 3W one on the front and the blinkers blink faster. :/

HTH.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

LOVE the street magic!!!!

sounds to me like a plain old bad earth, charge up the battery, get some jumper leads and go from battery neg to the motor.
