Fixed.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I'd give it back right away. I never even pick up money in the street since its not mine. If it was a proper amount ($50 note or summin) i'd hand it in to the Police.

Me is too honest probably.

I think I would do what Mike said, keep quiet and leave it there, dont take a cent, just live on the interest.

5% per year interest is a healthy half million a year or just under 10K a week, pretty solid good times to be had with that.

When they find out let them take it back, just say you didnt know and everyone is happy - might not work though.

I think in this case they just gave the guy a 10M overdraft rather than 100K - probably just missed the decimal point.... rather than giving him 10M to earn interest.

Very stupid thing to do.
People are privileged to live in NZ, some will pay more than 10M to get here.
What they did is stole some money and went off to live in China, which is a shithole compare to NZ. They condemn their children to poverty and uncertain future. It looks like they are not good at money keeping so what will happen in 2 years (if they don't get returned to NZ) they will spend all the money on drugs, hookers, dildos and pokies, ending up in the slammer.

on another note....if it can be placed into the account electonically...cant the bank just reverse the transaction???

they would need the other banks approval,

and like the bottom comment, most countries wouldn't care after all it will be spent in china now which helps china's economy.

I think the banks have it sewn up so even if you do just live off the interest, its considered theft and they will royally ream you for it.

Yeah I guess technically speaking they would be paying out money for interest on their own money.

Wouldn't keep it but I'd sure as hell print off my online banking statement and frame it.
