Going through some of the W5# gearbox I have,
as I just aquired another few,
W5# series box with the following ratio's?
1st = 3.954
2nd = 2.142
3rd = 1.385
4th = 1.000
5th = 0.850
Seems a strange one as I have a lot of the W55's and a W57,
but the teeth count on this one is really weird.
Even counted them multiple times to be sure?

Yeah possibly.
I have another box that came out of a RWD Diesil MarkII,
It's in the race car now, lol,
but it was not a low first gear one.

Yeah - I agree, W56. Seen one in a 1C diesel Carina wagon also seen a build plate on a CE70 diesel corolla wagon at a wreckers.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

W56 off the back of a C series or L series motor, has ute like 1st gear ratio, had one here ages ago.
