Postby Clive » Sun Jun 07, 2009 10:42 pm

Hi im new to this forum

I Have just recently brought a AE 92 FX-GT twin cam 16 Corrolla but because its an import i can't tell what year it is. I know AE92 were made between 1989 and 1994 but it has no Australian complience plate on it.

Can anyone tell me what year it is?

Frame AE92 -0168513, Model E- AE92-AGPVF.
And its an Auto

On the driverside front pillar it has what looks like a recall sticker on it that has 8/12-22500 on it.

I live in Western Australia

Any help would be great Thanks

Japanese AE92 FXGT's were made from 1987 to 1991.

From that info I have found

It was made in August 1989

And also its trim level or grade is "Luxury sports" :P

Is your engine a smallport 4AGE?

Smallports are non TVIS and will look like the one in the picture below.

As for the gearbox its a 4speed, some more info is stamped on the firewall plate under "trans/axle.
