a mate of mine has a 4age ae85.

ran it out of gas about a week ago, it cut out like a few meters from home started it again and put it in the driveway and left it for a few days, lastnight we chuckd 10 litres of gas in it. we chucked the battery pack on it and all it done was turnover and the odd time it would pop and slighly fire into life. then die, so we thought maybe give it a push start, rolled it down the hill. the revcounter would be at 1g and nothing would be happen.

the car has a walbro intank pump.

is this problem dude to it running out of gas or something else?

and also before it ran out of gas we put a head unit in we also had to put in a fuse. and all the lights on the dash are english except one....(is this the engine light?)

car is in wellington any help would be much appriciated

im using a mates account so feel free to discuss this on here but if u know exactly whats wrong give me a txt on 0273438155

yeah if its not firing at all its because you don't have all the facts -

*fuel
*air
*compression
*timing
*spark

firstly i'd check fuel and spark. the other 3 wouldn't change unless you've physically changed the setup, or blown your engine somehow

the motor i getting fuel cause i can smell it out the exhaust when it is turning over, coil and dizzy are fine and the plugs are sweet, it had a bit of a miss when it was running, could it be the timing cause its a pretty fresh motor and had only been run in just before the car was purchased.

nope no surge tank as its a intank pump, plugs seem to be fine.

it ran out of gas putted out then was able to start to get 20m down the road and in the drive way where it was turned off and left
