Engine Pics please

Am currently doing an illustrator photo realism paper at uni, and have a few requirements as to what im allowed to draw.

Have decided to go with an engine on a crane (With or without the gearbox, im unsure at this stage)

So i now ask of you - does anyone have high res pics of their engines or any other modified engines out of the car? Engine wont be recognisable once its finished, so copywritten images may be used (Purely for tracing).

I want to do parts that require alot of definition - turbos, manifolds, cams etc, DEFINATELY want to be able to include the rocker cover - will post a link to the angle


And by high res, i mean 2000x3000ish or higher. Needs to be A2 when i finish it (Using a high res to take the colours, aftermarket parts can be shopped in easy enough)

This sort of angle, but with the cams facing the camera, anything with alot of detail i welcome, aftermarket cams, fuel rails, anything bright and detailed.

I own a Subaru so it the engine will be out on a stand at some stage soon

Hmm.. not sure what size pixel my camera goes up to. Its only a sony 5.1mp.

Anyway. You just let me know what you need to look at and I can (kind of) put it together to suit. Gearbox is on the garage floor but I can take a photo of that as well.

Do you need belts and stuff on the engine shown as well? PM if you don't want to clog up the boards

That sort of image would be great - cams + manifold visible. If your manifold is heat wrapped - even better. The more detail, the more i can make this look good.

Okay.. who put you up to this. Cos I know my friends are pushing me to get this celica done sometime this decade..

i resized. No use chucking up huge huge files unless you want the toyspeed fuzz to clamp you..
