Thursday night Drags, river bank, melling station, valadrome

Postby headshotnz » Fri Jun 12, 2009 4:03 am

Does any body go to these?

Was just up at the valadrome tonight, huge police check, they checked every bodys car, I was about 8 cars in line, and i waited about 2 hours.

Let alone the other 50 cars, they would still be there till about 5:30.

My chain isn't gangsta enough to pull behind the car.

On a serious note.. I think you'll find that most members avoid that group now for that specific reason. That and we don't agree with the activities that take place. (i.e. drinking, burn-outs, general idiots)

Remember that supporting/attending these illegal drags is basically kicking all other "car enthusiasts" in the balls as this is the sort of thing that helps to ruin the car scene for everyone.

As long as you turn up in those places with those "G'd up douche bags" , you're part of the problem, and will be treated as such by the police and everyone else in the community who hates what that group of people do.

I for one am backing Essdub23 on this one. Get used to copping the flak mate, coz going to those places, with those "G'd up douche bags" and posting bout it here, you're going to get alot of it.

If you hang out with muppets, people will assume you're a muppet.

If you actually want to do some real (i.e. legal) motorsport, come along to Slipway (Brooklyn) on July 12th if you like sealed stuff, or July 5th to Eastern Hutt Road Silverstream if you want to play on grass.

This tends to be where the Wellington Toyspeed folk get their high rpm fun in cars.

Good on ya, you don't even need a club-sport license to do Auto-X and Motorkhana's. You might want to check out the Sealed Auto-X series that is advertised in the Wellington section. You can enter your first 2 events without even joining a MSNZ club like HCCC. $30 is not bad for a days racing.
