ae101 silvertop to blacktop conversion plus 6spd gearbox

Hey guys, im looking at doing this conversion.

What would i need and any advice would be great.

If i buy the engine, ill have:

Blacktop complete,

6 speed transmission, (are these LSD ?)

Loom

ECU.

This will be going into my ae101 levin.


Please hold the comments on the following,

Its not worth it,
Best selling your car and getting a AE111,
Power gains wont be worth the $$$

etc etc.

my advice is avoid the 6 speed, they are dogs balls

c56 or c52 will be fine

silvertop loom/ecu has no problem running a blacktop

6 speed will die with too much spirited driving, get a c56-04c if you can, thats the 5speed with lsd from a BZG superstrut

Thanks to those with usefull replys, so you guys reckon hold off on the 6 speed?

Ill still have my C52 which is pretty mint, so i can use that.

How easy to break are we talking though?

Like, there is a possibilty if i trash it every were?

Will be getting into club days etc, so will need a stronger gearbox, so one from a GTZ will be good yea?

E series box has crap ratios for n/a. C52 will probably need rebuilt and wont have LSD. As others have said, C56 LSD box is your best bet, C160 breaks the crown gear? or something, because its smaller due to space constraints.
