I have my eye's on aristo's, namely the twin turbo inline 6 models,
what i am wanting to know is. what am i in for? what known trouble to they have etc...
I know chances are i will end up with an auto so what would a conversion to a manual set me back?

I have owned a Turbo 147 and VERY nearly bought a 161 - I like my Aristos!
BUT
They are thirsty, no matter how quietly you try to drive you'll use alot of fuel.
And they are BLOODY heavy - much heavier than jzx and jza. They do a a very good job of masking their weight, but there is no mistaking the fact that these are very heavy vehicles - pretty much VIP/cruiser only if you ask me - def not a sports car, and even the turbos aren't really sporty - just powerful

Have a look here http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/aristo/ and see for yourself
the fallen303 wrote:ha, thats just run in :p just be careful with the w58, they are a good gearbox, and go well behind JZ engines, just with the torque of the 2j, and weight of the aristo, not too good a combination. on the other hand, probably run fine.
