Postby ke25sr » Mon Jun 15, 2009 10:18 am

Amazingly my dirty little boat anchor 2tg is maxing out the 3TGTEU injectors, From what i have found these are 295cc and i need bigger,

What else is a direct fit in.

Judging by the other problems you've had with lack of effort ? at the tuners.
Have you checked fuel pressure ? static relief setting and pressure at max hp.
first page in google http://www.injector.com/injectorselection.php suggests that 295cc injectors should handle the power they say your making easily.

Fuel pressure sits nicely at 45 PSI. But tuner reckons that Injectors are hitting 98% duty cycle at the moment i have to assume that he is right and he checked for other reasons for the injectors maxing out.

$100, theyre aw11 4agze, google it to find flow rate, or i can get them flow tested and cleaned but it'll cost you extra...
what is the resistance across your 3t injectors?
ill measure the gze ones then u'll knw if u need a inj resistor or not.

mazda gtx (1800) are around 365cc hi imp, top feed and you should be able to get some of these for next to nothing after that you can jump upto vr4 at 450cc but people want good money for these and i cant see a n/a 1600 really needing these

So high imp means what, The 2TGEU runs a Injector resistor which i assume has something to do with this.

if it runs an injector resistor then they are low impedence, which means the resistance through the injector coil is very low and will in turn draw more current (less windings, closer to a direct short) the resistor lowers the voltage so the injector current doesnt burn out the ecu inj drive...
high and low obviously have different advantages
