Looks like a 21st century remake of Toyota 2000GT to show the world that Toyota can build high performance sports cars. I prefer the front end featured in the earlier concept. The body from the side is reminiscent of a F430 a little bit and so is the rear diffuser. I hope they will bring out the GS-F (Lexus GS with V10 Engine) version too, to try and destroy the M5 and AMG Mercs.

With the new car-crazed CEO Akio Toyoda taking over the company, there's good reason to believe Toyota may be on it's way back to building exciting cars again.

that floats my boat!

I wonder if he's a Toyoda from the same family that started Toyota?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Toyada is also the big reason Toyota is in F-1 and I fear without this guy Toyota would have bailed on the LF-A project and F-1.He has a big motorsport back ground and has been test driving and racing the LF-A for some years now.

As for pricing well they got Supercar performance now you'll have to pay Supercar money even though $500 K NZD I think is still a bargin as you won't get a Enzo,Carrera GT or a Zonda for anything less than a mill NZD so I reckon for a Supercar its a bargin.

Who can beat Toyota/Lexus warranty plan 4 years free WOF,Servicing and a set of 305/30/R20 Bridgestone run flat tyres or 140,000 ks what ever comes first. No other car-maker on the planet will give you anything close.

are you taking the piss or do you not know that EVO is one of the more reputable UK performance car magazines? they pretty much cover solely supercars and get first dib drives on pretty much every awesome car ever made.

i was extremely gutted when my lolcal magazine store stopped stocking them. (anyone know another place in wgtn that does?)

that LF-A will be a beast of a car, looks like they are throwing everything into it. shame none of us will likely ever be able to afford one

I'm pretty sure Magnetix in Midland Park there stock it or Borders across the road in Lamton Quay would be another one to try.

I found ASG with refernce to the gearbox a nice play on words automated sequiential with a twin clutch setup I thought they just about covered the spectrum of what a gearbox can be have seen clips on youtube of the latest car they have had at the Nurburgring it does'nt look as sleek but it still sounds mint and whoever the lucky Bas***d is whose driving it is really ringing its neck.

Its been a long time since Toyota's last wide-angle DOHC 'G' engine (2ZZ-GE?) so this is good news.
