AE111 Braided Steel Brake Hoses

Postby Kittah » Mon Jun 29, 2009 12:38 pm

Hey guys,

Got back from getting my WoF and I was told that there seem to be some fine cracks appearing in my front brake hoses, and because I want to do it at some point in my car's future any way, I'm wanting to go for braided brake lines.

I'm just wondering where I can go to for braided steel brake hoses. I know that APP do them, and I've been told that Goodridge do them but I haven't been able to find any to fit AE111. Goodridge seems readily available here, while APP is not. Can anyone confirm if Goodridge actually do make them, or if any other models will fit AE111?

Much thanks in advance :D

Whats the cars use going to be?

Are standard hoses really that bad? :? From what i've seen its mostly about the bling as people manage perfectly fine with standard hoses. I guess hardout race applications will be different though if thats your plan.

I'm not going to deny that part of it is the bling, but I'm also keen to get into some track work. I do quite a lot of sensibly spirited driving in my spare time, too. I figure that if I want braided hoses anyway, there's no point in getting factory replacements :)
