Running rich

Postby thornz » Tue Jun 30, 2009 10:00 am

My Mr2 is currently running very rich, with attorcious fuel milage to boot.
What should I look at doing to remedy this? Are there any small tricks to help fix it, or will it need a full tune/service from Toyota or somewhere similair? The car at the moment is completely stock.

If your not getting a cel theres probably no codes to check for
Sounds like a vaccum leak somewhere?

theres a diagonstics box in the engine bay, bridge the te1 and e1 terminals with a split pin or paperclip, then look at the engine check light on the dash, should flash constantly if theres no codes. search for the other details

oxy sensor shouldnt bring up the CEL but will bring up a code when you check.(from memory, could be wrong though)
