I often wonder how many GUYS who whip that one out are sitting there and thinking "Please say yes, please say yes, OH GOD please say YES!"
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I made the mistake of letting my boyfriend drive my car once... Stories came back of him getting my old SW20 MR2 extremely sideways over the center line and it wasn't intentional... Oh and I let my ex-husband drive my old Corolla and he drove it up the butt of another car at a pedestrian crossing while perving at a girl in a short skirt on the side of the road.... and then I let another ex of mine drive my AE91 and he abused its clutch while angry one time and it pretty much killed it, Oh and the same ex drove my race-car and mothered the front bumper... Oh and then this one time I read a thread by a bunch of guys bagging their girlfriends driving abilities and discovered that men are really as full of themselves as I thought. :P

Oh and if you didn't get it... I'm a girl and those were boys/men who damaged my cars  its not only us girls who make mistakes boys!

Hrmmm maybe I should have a girlfriend... Then I could teach her the finer points of driving rather than bagging her. :P *mmm pretty girl that smells nice* or *uhhggg unshaven boy who smells like a workshop* Girl FTW  Nah just kidding... boys are better

Yup unfortunately girls do seem to have a bit of a bum rap when it comes to driving, even though insurance company's like their driving records better :P. However what I've found in my time doing motorsport that if you teach them and allow them to do it in their own time they are bloody good drivers. Be kind boys and encourage them and then when they do drive your precious toys they will be less likely to trash them.

Oooo either that or don't let them drive at all then you'll have nothing to complain about  :P

Distorted statistics has about as much in common with driver skill as gender does

For all you woman drivers out there... I actually saw this happen not so long ago up here in Auckland at a Fish & Chips shop!

How often do males try and park inside a video ezy store?

Happens down here too. Years ago an old lady drove into my friends families pharmacy. iirc she went to back out of an angle car park, car was in drive not reverse it went forward and hit the curb. Because she wasn't going backwards (kerb was acting as a brake) she gave it more and more gass... jumped the kerb and straight into their consolation room

Annnd....

I remember years ago when the centre of Feilding was beeing resealed. I was riding shotgun in mums car. On the gravel mum was in second gear idling along. She went to accelerate but because she was not picking up speed she put her foot down more and more then wondered why i was laughing at her - she didn't even realise the car was wheel spining
- Not so much poor driving but more along the lines of poor car control
