Power restricted. The ecu is locked at the power level until it reachs a race track. Then gets more opened via the internal gps system.
Its only been recently that they have cracked the new gtr ecu to be able to get the power out of the engine. Nissan and the japanesse government had some form of a agreement on not making it a monster like the other series have become.

That it is.
Altho i love comparrison video's
It'd be nice to see a tuned gtr vs the veyron
Wouldnt mind seeing someone with ludacris money making a veyron a ful on track car. Full cage, light weight and track spec'd

Pretty sure the F1 is worth more than the Veyron now?

like hammond said - the F1 is worth 2million pounds - the veyron only 1

well 1m pounds when new

Lol true, I didn't actually watch the linked video but have seen the topgear episode.

I suppose the Veyron will be worth more than 1million pounds in 10yrs too anyway.

I still reckon a tuned R35 would be pushing SH*T uphill against the Veyron in a drag race..Aerodynamics would be the problem for the GTR it just doesn't have that sought of efficency to go 220 plus mph.

Really? I thought the GTR had a very similar CD to that of a Prius or something. I think it might be due to the GTR having 'only' 353Kw vs the Veyron's 746kw.
If I whip out the ol' calculator, that works out to be more than double the power.

Not to mention the 1250nm of torque the Veyron has.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Its interesting thats why.

I may know wolves and polar bears are both fantastic killing machines in their own respects but would I pass on seeing them dueling in a boxing ring?

No, no I wouldn't.

Seen a couple around town(Browny grey and a white one) and been for a quick blat up the motorway in the white one.

Awesome 8)

Veyron is completely different kettle of fish, a showcase of design/craftsmanship/ludicrous over-engineering
