Springs For Tems

Postby celica_xr9145 » Wed Jul 29, 2009 1:06 am

Dont really know which section to post this in but ive been looking for a set of springs to lower my car and assumed that ST182 Non TEMS springs will fit my ST183 TEMS, now i know it wont.

I cant find anyone that makes springs for the ST183 Celica GTR 4WS.

There all mainly for the ST182/4/5

Cobra springs do some for the ST183 convertible but doesnt say if its for TEMS :?

I take it the TEMS suspension in my celica isnt interchangable say with a ae92, soarer or supra with TEMS :?

I know someone does them because there is a 4ws in dunedin that has been lowered but i know some people cut thier springs.

Many thanks

If tems is an issue, then remove it and put some decent shocks in, its 20 year old suspension and nothing special. Probly find TRD do shocks/springs.

my mate did exactly that to his ae92.... got rid of the tems and put new non-tems shocks in. Made one hell of a difference. Would definitely be the best way to go.
