My short experience with a Modena was a big disappointment of the build quality.
Orange peel.
Paint on the air vents turned into sticky mess from the sun.
Rattly interior.
Uneven gaps in the body panels.
Uneven gaps in the interior.

And that was a low kms car.

Now, I haven't driven it so I can't really comment on that, but of similar age Porsche Carrera 4S, I fell in love with (although I have driven it).
The quality, comfort, panel work is superior.
Also from feedback who drove both of the cars, Porsche is much more drivable and more enjoyable.

If I ever get rich, I would probably buy a Carrera Turbo.

I think the cabin is a bit big, and the roof high. If it were smaller, and lower, it'd suit the rest of the car better.

Good luck trying to use that thing every day - apparently there is almost no rear vision capability - about as bad as the enzo.

Good thing to own if you can spend plenty of time at the track going forwards only tho

I think it suits the style of the car other wise it wld look to flat and sharp, baby has curves

Three things you should know if you're buying any Ferrari.

And parts... All those cars are expensive as when it comes to parts...
I remember doing some work at Independant Prestige once, and was having a chat to one of the service guys.
Price of a new clutch for the manual Mercuciellargo (Excuse the spelling):

$10,000.

That only applies to specials like the Enzo and ones over 20years old, even then there is some debate about whether the monocoque construction (348 onwards) Ferraris will hold their value.

Unless you get in on the list when a popular new Ferrari comes out, and can charge a hefty premium for selling it on, then their value falls faster than the stock market in a recession, only thing worse is Lamborghinis.

Totally, hence my comment "the right one". I fully recognise that there are also "the wrong ones" to buy as far as depreciation goes.

I was thinking that models like 308QV, 308 resina and 328 are fairly low right now (ignoring overly optimistic trademe pricing). 360 and 430 have a way to go.

Not that it matters much to me, not allowed any more toys till I build my garage

Apart from the early 80's FI models 308s have been holding their price, or slightly increasing over the last few years, 328's are still dropping a bit, but that's probably due to the recession.

IMO the best bargin right now is a good condition 308 GT4, a Mondial, or if you want a 12 cylinder and don't mind an auto, the 400. Only problem with these (apart from the usual Ferrari problems) is a lot of people don't like the styling, hence the lower price.
