Good towing company in Auckland

Postby BZR4AGE » Tue Aug 04, 2009 10:49 pm

Hi guys,

I will have my link installed this weekend, and is likely that the car will need to be towed to the tuner from my home.

My car is lowered with a bodykit. There used to be an ad in performance car magazine that specialise in towing lowered cars, anyone know who it is?

or anyone can recommend someone good and careful?

Cheers

I used W D Price a couple of times when I had my old corolla GTi - lowered but not extremely so. I found them to be really good, friendly and professional. I don't remember them being too expensive either though I only paid for one of the two and it was a couple of years ago.

in the last few years some company's have been buying new trucks for just that problem. here is chch parks towing has one
the new truck deck completely comes off the truck onto the ground and is only a few inch's to drive over. just ask if they have this feature.

ALOT of companies in Aucks have trucks like this too. I managed to get my civic onto one (my EG is 105mm off the ground) and didnt scrape anything. Bear in mind, if your car isnt running, youll need a long space for these vehicles to load your car. Approx 2.5-3.5 times the length of the tow truck, as the deck has to go off behind it, plus you need to fit your car in behind that.

I always used City towing, just ask for their tipping/sliding tray truck.
Cost me 70-90 to get a car from piha way to east tamaki

What part of Auckland are you in?

Anywhere south side, I will always use Southern Districts Towing.

If you're more central area, try City Towing (VRG don't have a slide deck).

Out west, you can try Alfa Westcity Towing.

Just be sure to advise whichever company you use that your car is lowered and/or has a bodykit, and the clearance of said item, and specifically request a tow truck.

Central Towing I think is the name of the crowd we use predominantly for the Porsches in the central Auckland district.
