accomodation in Petone/Lower Hutt

Hi guys,

Will be down Wellington way this christmas seeing family in Lower Hutt and Wainui.

Does anyone know of any nice motel/hotels in the Lower Hutt / Petone area? Staying 3 nights this time. Normally have just done an over nighter and stayed in the city but would like somewhere closer as things like valet parking get expensive and I like to know where my car is.

anyone got any good ideas? have had a look through various accomodation guides and everything looks very 70's...

Before I moved to Wellington I used to stay here http://huttpark.co.nz

They have motel style units and it is very close to Lower Hutt central and very close to the Wainui hill.
