i had a silvertop in an ae92 fxgt.
wasnt the fastest thing around, but give it twisty roads and it ate them for dinner.

yep, was alot of fun
definately a worth while conversion... especially since selling off the red top stuff left me with some change after paying for the conversion.

I own Deaf Rattles AE92 now and it is a very fun car to drive. The motor is bit smokey at times, but it still goes really well. They are very chuckable cars. Also, it's a poo load more economical than my Bluetop AE82 FXGT.

The real trick to making these cars fun is not just an engine though. A good setup suspension-wise will really transform it as well.

My project at the moment is another AE92 FXGT with Blacktop 20V, C56 gearbox with factory LSD. Got TEIN coilovers and whiteline rear sway bar in it as well. All up, it should make a fairly fun car I'd say 8)

Drag racing isn't really what they're about, especially N/A 20V's (well except a few hard core TODA spec ones hanging around these days). I'd say they're more suited to nice twisty roads.

Put a B16 in it, that'll make it go fast... otherwise put a blacktop in with replaced rods.

ive got a blacktop in my gt sedan, can be a bit sluggish around town to be honest no low down power but get it out where you can give it a bit of stick + revs and goes really well. actually had forgotten completely about the way my car can go around corners until I took it for a drive across the akatarawas a little while back came out the other side with an ear to ear grin lol flys through the twistys
