I just got an email from jpnz..

Hi, We now have a sufficient number of requests to translate the 1997~2002 Toyota
CALDINA Code: WM324 workshop/repair manual. We now need enough people to confirm
they are still interested so we can begin work on the manual.

*snip*

Sections expected to feature in this manual are as follows:

General information and maintenance.
Engine mechanical.
Engine lubrication & cooling systems.
Fuel & emission control systems.
Engine electrical equipment.
Clutch

Propeller shaft,
Brake system
Wheels & tyres

They indicate cost will be $150 + Postage.

me, I need to dig thru some old emails to find the crap I dealt with relating to these guys a wee while back, I doubt i'll be giving them $$ on principle. (That and mine's a 96...)

Hmmmmmm...
Which one is right?

I found the email from the director of jpnz, basically being stroppy...
The forum post I made at the time is @ viewtopic.php?p=664129#664129

In total i've now received essentially the same email from them several times:

19 June 2008 @ 0739
8 July 2008 @ 1005
12 July 2008 @ 1513
15 Sep 2009 @ 1125

So now I've finally caved, filled in their damn web form and clicked 'no'.

Yes, I have received similar.

I wrote them back said no, $150 is beyond economical for my use of it, as good as it may or may not be.

The thing is they say they need 90 people to print this manual - fair enough, but in the meduim to long term they will sell far more than the 90 copies once people know there is an English version.

Lower the price & I'm in, keep it at $150 & I'll fix the car with duct tape, No. 8 wire and a hammer.

My 2c.
