And I don't have insurance (Yes I know I know but that's another story.)

Can't really complain about butt-rape if you don't have insurance can you?

Even if I'm not at fault? If I whacked someone then yeah shame on me, but this guy hit me with his van. Yeah I think I can complain a bit.

Meanwhile, the police has wrote me up on "Not up to warrant of fitness standards - no mirrors" for my pre 1st July 2000 49cc moped. Not the best of luck lately, time to go to court again and fight it off.

True, but third party insurance is for cars you don't care about, not rare cars that cost $$$ to fix.

Make sure you're surrounded by MR2's where ever you drive?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Whats that? Don't drive on the road?

Seeing as hes building up his MR2 and its not on the road, I too would be suprised if while in his MR2 someone hit him

Good luck getting money out of them Akane, as if they are the type of person that doesn't own up to their mistakes (as they have done) then you've probably got a fight on your hands

LOL I can't be bothered with the MR2 right now, it has a huge wiring / electricial problem (starter tries to crank when I have the key onto the "on" position, Idle solenoid makes PFC won't work, and a few others)

I called the cops today, with the case number they gave me, they said they haven't done anything yet, because I haven't gone in personally to file in a report. But on Friday night the cop on the phone told me to "go home straight away and wait for information". So I guess I'll have to go in on Monday to see them personally.

nice.

Pretty much a closed case...

Mate you have nothing to fear by going over there and asking for reparation.

File a police report, if the guy has more than two brain cells (which is questionable) he will fess up and pay out.
- does not pay, he’s already fessed up and you can take him to court.

I was coming home down Dominion road and a fresh of the boat indian (no NZ drivers licence eek!) locked up and smacked into the ass of my Carib.
He said he would fix it etc... I said no you won’t, I have your rego and people witnessing your at fault, my INSURANCE will contact you.
Full insurance - $1000 and peace of mind.

Poor bastard would have got stung but for me the whole thing was a blessing, full car touch up.

Any trouble go to your local gang for collection and add the $1000 dollar fee to the bill.
He will get the idea

They had a bit of an arguement a few years ago, and Akane has this small link in his sig to the arguement.

But he should just let it be now. C'mon Akane, be a good sort and let the past stay in the past :)

there are people around if you know who to ask who will reclaim a debt for you for a % fee normally. They are far more effective than any debt collection company etc, and usually an HQ holden on the front lawn full of some of societys finest is a bit more motivating than a random phone call from a guy in an office.

if it works out a few thousand to fix, then may be a more effective option to flick someone else a bit of coin to sort it for you.
