Mate of mine had S13 and BC coilovers and I droved it a few times and sat in it while it's drifting a lot of times.

It's shock absorber itself is not that firm (He set it half way) and the springs ain't all that stiff, which I think is good for a street driven car. No leaks for the duration of the time he had it and it didn't get a whole lot "softer" after running it in. Very good for drifting in the S13 easy to hold the drift, ok responsive for swinging it to the other way.

Not bad for $1200 worth of coilovers.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

Friend of mine is using them on his s14 and another on his mr2, good ride and no problems. There are to types of BC, I'd suggest going with the more expensive of the two

Better than d2

I believe Repco is selling the red ones now. Dell'Orto will be able to confirm this.

Have the golds in my Corolla and i'm happy with them. Just had to have the shocks on softess settings with 6kg/4kg springs to pass cert.

i ve had the D2's and now have the BC gold. the BC's are a nicer firm ride where has the D2's were quite a bit harsher. the XYZ's are made in the same factory as the D2's allong with K-sport, just different stickers, branding and colour according to my knowledge. and on the note of BC red (lower spec model compared to the gold) i noticed they were being sold at repco the other day i was in there.

i love it when i see cars like evo 9's and brand new sti's etc with "d2" and im like.... oh noes..... how could the massive R and D department of subaru and mitsi be so silly ? they should have asked D2 to make their suspension. i mean im sure they are like totally AMAZING..... ok rant over but seriously i would rather ride the bump stops than d2's

Dude Stay well away for D2, K-sport and XYZ

If I could get Garage Dori to open I'd send you the link from the manfield open day where 3 sets of D2s were broken in the space of one afternoon track session, struts completely snaped in half :O

The reason he will be pushinf XYZ's to you is becasue he probaly has a shit laod of them in stock that he is trying to move before evryone find out the are the same as D2 and K-sport and no one wants to touch them anymore

Pretty sure if you dig deep enough you will find they are made in the same factory in either Taiwan or China

There has been heaps of debate on D1NZ regarding the makers of D2 and K-sport which are definatly made in the same factory

What car are you looking to put these in?

Get BC's, heaps of guys use them and have never heard a complaint yet about them

If its for a street car and you get the money Tein super streets would be go :)

From talking to Malcom down at otago tires who I know helps out with alot of rally and track suspension setups BC are a good solid choice for road use and light track use but Tein's are alot better still but you have to pay I believe 3k+ for their flex super street units which Im told are very decent although a fair bit stiffer compared to BC. Just what Ive been told here and what ive noticed myself in cars with either option :)

I have type Flex on the MR2 and it definitely feels stiffer than the BC's (dialed to various settings)

oh thats cool, the red ones are harder (track use) and gold are softer for street, not to say you couldn't use the gold on the track of course

We get nearly daily emails from XYZ, looking for new dealers in 'our region'. One day the email will be from Julie, then Sam, then Erica, then Phillipa, then Sally, then Precilla, then Rachel, then Nicky..

Based on that alone, I wouldn't touch them with a 100' barge pole. Based on what you say? Spam, false names, the fact that despite them being 'sold' here already that they are still looking for more dealers (this would really piss me off if I was a retailer and the parent brand was still looking for others to sell through) etc etc

I won't knock Taiwanese products, your camera lenses, half your computer, most of the premier brands' parts are made there now, but I wouldn't rate this brand at all.
