x8 manual conversion info

hey,

just wanted to confirm whether the w series box im after for a manual conversion on the mx83 cressida is the rear most positioned non remote shift style . and does it matter whether its a w57/58? as im getting the yoke welded on the driveshaft anyway.

factory position from the sx80 I wrecked for my manual conversion was 2nd to furtherest back.

yup get a w55/57/58 with the furthermost rear shifter position, the furtherest back is yes a remote shift type. the 70 and 80 series sedans use the far back rear shift whereas 90,100,110 use remote shift.
I used my factory w55 behind a 1ggte in a gx71 was fine ran mint, revved at around 3100rpm at 100ks.

It's 2nd furtherest back not including the remoteshift.
I did the measurements when we had my w55 from the sx80 and a w58 from a ga70.

well that looks exactly like the box i pulled from my gx71 and from a gx81 i had, the ga70 one is the same
