couldnt find anything in the search so thought id ask here
I have a Runx and wish to get an LSD installed, how much does it cost to get these things installed if I bought a 2nd hand LSD?

Try ringing a gearbox specialist, Off the top of my head Im guessing not to expect change out of $600? Also depends on wether you will drop the gearbox off to them or they have to take it out/install it for you

I did go to 2 transmission specialists. one said they couldnt do it.. go figure, the other place said $1600-2000 as they'll need to rebuild the gearbox?

Don't know about Hamilton but that is a rip off.
If you get really stuck I recommend Egan from Dr Trans in Auckland (he won't charge you $1600
)

I remember seeing something on Starlet Central about installing an LSD. I think it was written up by Stu- on here. Have a look there - you might be able to do it yourself. It's more to do with getting the preload right than anything else IIRC.

yus a lot of bad stories around. even my boss who is good mates with the marhsalls had a run in with them over a gearbox

you would need to supply a few new parts, I can get you a list if interested
Would also be a good idea to do new clutch at the same time
