Postby jakesae101 » Fri Oct 09, 2009 8:00 pm

ok so my trueno went for its for a week or so ago i fexed all the other issues he had with the car (failed on cracks in the top hats and needed new front hoses ) but he failed me on rust on the boot gutter its where the rubber sits over the car is 21 years old now so its expected some rust he picked up what he thaught was a hole but it was a 2mm pit in the metal that i sanded back and painted over but it was my undertsanding that the boot gutter wasnt a wof fail issue am i correct here

well thats the thing i had a look there and cant find anything that sugests that its a wof fail its no where near the a pillar since its in the boot it doesnt affect the c pillar of any of the bodys strucure the only thing it does is let water into the boot hence why it was sealed up

Probably makes no difference if its covered in rubber or not, rust is rust.

no matter where it is, if its within 150mm of the hinge point, they will fail it.
