quick cambelt question..

Just replaced the waterpump on my 91 Laser, can't recall how tight the cambelt was, do I just let the tensioner (which is sprung) take the tension then do its' bolt up? With the tensioner alone its' quite tight.. hmm.

Undo the tensioner just so spring takes the slack, and rotate the crank about 10-15 degrees in normal direction (just to take off slack on other side), tighten the tensioner.

As above, you should be able to see where the cambelt goes slack on the tensioner side and the springs tries to take the slack. Sometimes need a little bit of pressure behind them with your finger just to keep the belt tight when you're doing up the locking nut.
