Hahaha thats like saying "Man, I'm so sick of hearing how awesome it is to eat food" or something to that extent :P

Pretty cool stuff really. Toyota getting back to their loom making roots ;)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

from what I could tell when I watched the video, it was just carbon tows (bundles of fibres) being woven to form "sock" (a hollow, tubular sleeve) which could then be laminated over (or inside) a mould for the a-pillar, nothing too ground breaking but the weaving machine looked awesome.

Bear in mind that I only watched it once before it disappeared so I could be wrong about what was going on

edit: just noticed the updated link, certainly seems to be just carbon sleeve but with 2 layers in one, interesting. I wonder if anything is done to weave the inner and outer together, or if it's just easier to make the two layers inside each other rather than perform 2 laminating operations?

Got tall poppy? At 5 times the price, comparing the LF-A to a GTR is about the equivalent of comparing an R35 GTR to a Ford Focus... I am thinking/hoping the LFA will go a bit better but I am betting performance wise it isn't to the GTR what a GTR is to a Focus! ;)
