Like I said in an earlier post, Everyone has their own opinions and everyone has their own reasons for liking either, I am on the fence untill I see the two battle it out on the track, that would be my decider on which of the two I like...

Finally Porsche has a competiter...

Oooooh I'd still rank a GT3RS ahead of an NSX-R, but M3's lost their appeal to me once they went V8. To me BMW IS 6 cylinders.

I've got to join the Porsche chorus here as they are a more focused less comprimised street/track car though I have'nt driven either I've been out on Manfield with both an M3 CSL and a GT3 RS and I have to say the Latter was a fair bit quicker thean the CSL which was no slouch by the way but the GT3 RS was a bit further down the track than I was so in my experience its the Porsche all the way here.

Without sounding like a "VW coupe " fan, I have had a GT3RS 997 at home here for the last 2 years while taking 'care' of it. Having to give it it's regular run to make sure the thing still goes , there have been quite a few people that have been some what keen to go for a ride in it. Most of these passengers have been very experienced motor sport competitors ranging from rallying to single seater drivers and they all had the same comment F**k ! A bit of confusion may come into the Porsche line up as there are not alot of GT3 RS floating about, and are far superior to many of the other Porsche line up.
Manufacturers may quote horsepower figures and other statistics but until the proof is put on the Tarmac I will wait and see. So for the moment there is another space in my shed for another Toyota until early next year when the new model GT3RS.2 turns up , or will it be a BMW??
