What are Mclaren thinking I reckon Raikkonen all things being equal would kick the living daylights out of Jensen Button when it comes to out and out driving talent.

Yeah But Jensen give them the All Britsh marketing dream team that Vodafone will love, plus Kimi isn't excally renound for his fondness for sponsor events

End of the day thought Mclaren put an offer on the table for Kimi and he told them that the pay wasn't high enough, if he really want to race and win the money wouldn't really matter would it, geeze he would be getting $9 million from Ferrari plus another 6 from Mclaren that $15 million in season thats plenty but not enough for Kimi

If he really wanted to drive he had the option he is the one who choose $$$$ over being in a F1 car

Is there still a seat at Brawn GP???

I no Nico Rosberg is going to be one and I heard a rumour they were chasing Nick Heidfeld maybe that might be an outside option for Raikkonen.

No idea if there is any truth to these, but the rumour mill is alive and well on some f1 forums that kimi is going to be racing for Mercedes next year.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2931 ... es-in-2010

Been reported on a few foreign sites as well.
Would love for it to be true, but considering they just announced he is taking a sabbatical, cant really see it being true. :(

Hope I'm wrong

Don't see Kimi in a Brawn, but then again I never though Jensen would leave Brawn fro Team Lewis

So stranger things have happened, but if Jensen was really as good as he thinks he is I'm sure RB would have made more of an effort to keep him

Well everywhere I look it says Kimi has announced no F1 for next year...
All the Kimi to Merc rumours, where just rumours tied to his past link with Merc when he was with McLaren with Merc engines

I reckon! He goes to visit McLaren, and they rip up a 12m pound contract!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

They probably only put the offer up after they knew he was in breach of his contract, so they could then withdraw it and make themselves look good

Its like the girl who breaks up with you for going to another girls house for tea and biscuits :P

I don't know if its carrer suicide. Obviously, the team has been Lewis orientated, but it could become more about the team as a whole, and not just a particular member and a lackey.

Looks like RB is going to be left with Nico who now really needs to show us he can be a top driver and Nick Heidfeild who has never done anything speacil

I jsut hope that someone really usless like Anthony Davidson doesnt get the second Mercedes seat

So who will get no. 1 on their car next year, Jenson at McLaren or whoever takes his seat at Brawn/Merc?

If Jenson gets it I cant see Lewis liking it much
