st205 projector headlights

Postby ihavelift » Thu Nov 26, 2009 9:32 am

Ok so I just got a pair from parts world courtesy of strx7, looks like they came out of another car.

Does anybody know how to convert from normal headlights to projector headlights? Alternatively, could anybody who has done this already maybe give me a hand?

Cheers

You need to go to pickapart and find the low beam sockets for the HB3 (?) bulbs that the projectors use. You can also buy the plug new from Toyota.
You may also need to change the plug for the park light or extend the wires, can't remember it was so long since I did it.

The headlights bolt straight in. You need to remove the bumper.

High beam bolts straight in, can't remember if the plug needs to be changed.

high beams are straight in and out plug and play :).
the lights themselves are easy to put in (just refer to that guide I showed you) and the bumber isn't that much to it.
I'd help... but I'm not in auckland

make sure your happy with the fitment of the lights and bumber.
