Can't believe I only just found out about this now.

My rego ran out on the 3rd, and I keep forgetting to renew it. I keep meaning to, just keep forgetting.

So if you are unaware of this convenience, now you know. You can renew your rego on here, without the hassle of having to go to a post shop.

Oh, and they do credit cards! Unlike a post shop!

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Yeap its great, I would use it more if I wasn't slack and wait until a week after it expired to getting around to renewing it as it takes a few days to come through.

The handyest part is the change of ownership can be done online.

You Sir, is legendary.

Just extended the rego's hold on one of my cars.

With technology like this, I can be lazier than ever.

Thanks!

Theres an easy fix for that. Go do something stupid and lose your license, and when they reissue it back to you, it'll be a new version.

Agreed, I've sold 3 cars now, and just got the new owners to come inside, enter their details and do it on the spot. Soooo easy.(Provided they have a credit card)

^^ Just go to a post shop the next day (if possible) and say you lost ya rego card. Pretty sure they'll print one for free?

I'm on there every few months extending rego on holds and paying for regos. I use it in conjunction with Carjam, to keep an eye on when things expires. Means I don't even have to walk outside to check when my rego runs out. Or go through my pile of mail to see when other cars come off hold etc.

Been doing my rego's and change of ownerships this way for the past 4 years  Even make the new owner do their change in front of me on my computer so I know it's gone through.

Takes like a week to get to you tho.

I had paid for my rego, but didn't receive it. So wasn't 'displaying current rego' $200 fine

My fault I guess, but still Pay 1 week in advance !

Have a look on the label for the date it was printed. If its dated before the ticket date you might get off it. I was ticketed for the same thing and got off as the label was printed 3 months prior - I'd forgotten to take the old label out of the holder when it expired

went thru a cop stop an hour after paying my rego online, so nothing displayed, ran it thru the system, came back sweet, didn't get a ticket.

Or say you purchased it online but can't wait for it to arrive. I did that once worked just as well.
