Maybe! Would be pretty cool if they linked up and expanded!

sounds like a big undertaking seeing as the basic construction of the cars in each series are radically different.

but yes, it would be awesomely cool. while they are at it, they should make a racing series for rwd , v8 engined cars that would allow for the germans, the japanese, the americans and maybe even australian v8's to compete in that didnt quite use the full sillouhette cars that super GT and DTM use.

that would be ultimate bragging rights.

only problem with that is the FIA woudl get involved and $&#$% it up

I think DTM could look at altering to suit, they currently have a development freeze but that can't last forever so maybe in 2 years or so they could move to adopt a new formula

Now thats something I'd really love to watch DTM vs Japan Super GT yep I'd like to see all of that.

Revvy I'm sure I mentioned to you some years ago those JGTC at the time cars were quicker than there DTM counterparts.I saw an article in racecar engineer saying that those GT500 cars were as quick as the LMP2 cars at LeMans.

until they on the same track, hard to tell! though it appears the SuperGT have better tyres so have an edge. Also it seems SuperGT now have wilder chassis whereas before they were a bit stricter on them

Sigh.... We really need a dedicated motorsports channel here... :(

We miss out on things like Le Mans, DTM, British Touring Cars and Super GT...
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
