Yes, roof please! Can we lose the electric motors and just keep the V6 too?

Very unlikely
unless they do two versions.
Toyota are pretty committed ot having a hybrid of every model they sell.
And for this, it seems purely hybrid only

You are right, It probably is just a ZZW, but the kit makes it look like a Porsche Boxter

liiks like alot of panel work on a zzw, tail lights are a bit of a give away..

I just had a look at the photos, and didn't read the article, but wasn't it a CAZZ car done by them, after Toyota asked if they'd like to make it? Its meant to promote Toyota's new found factory sportiness, with Toyota moving to focus on performance and driving pleasure with all new models.

Though that said there have been rumours about Toyota bringing out a new MR2-hybrid to take on the CRZ.

I vote they make any new MR2 look like the AW11, imagine a flying wedge with hybrid power, and 4wd.
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983
