I mean complex when compared to an alternative inline 4, 3SGE Beams etc.. Suppose the lower COG is a benefit

Yea, but I'm not sure whats so complex about it! Other than changing sparkplugs being an asshole :P
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

boxers are fine, we mainly see the subaru version here and the early versions being built to a budget combined with kiwi 'wind up boost, thrash it and never service it' gave them a bit of a rep for being fragile.

subarus in general are in fact really easy to work on, well designed from a mechanics point of view at least (apart from aforementioned sparkplugs, hah!)

I think its bloody awesome... nice agressive looking Toyota RWD... Boxer engine is a bit different... not too sure I'm in favour but if it works for Porsche then it must have its benefits...

Heck I may even sell my silvia for one of these... probably not... but when my Silvia becomes track dedicated I wouldn't mind one :)

The estimated price for the 216A when it hits the Japanese market will be around $60000 NZD

Just a tad more than a corolla....

2nd

but that being said, it's sounds like the engine is designed with the help of subby, not actually from subby so i could live with that.

Seeing is their saying this is the supposed 'production model' id assume all a lot of that tack on stuff (wing, carbon fibre, LED) is optional.

For anyone interested in GT5 and the FT-86. Here is a video of the Concept II driving around in GT5.
