New Zealand Auto Salon Mag

Postby Mike228 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 9:38 am

This was a cool mag (more race cars less chrome), but I haven't seen a new one in shops for a while now, and magnetix reckons is about 3 weeks late. Does any one know whats happened? did they go under, it was quite a new mag...

the australian parent company that run the original aussie magazine have decided to go to an online magazine rather than a print one.
When in doubt, down and out.

zoom / boost is a pretty cool aussie mag if you are more interested in go than show. lots of variety, they'll feature anything thats fast

they changed their name a while back

and in fact they have been giving away excess back issues with the current issue lately too, so you often get three mags for $10

Also High Performance Imports focus on go rather than show.. Although they seem to focus mostly on SR / RB / JZ engines

i guess those platforms have plenty of potential, the cool thing about zoom / boost is that they feature anything thats quick... so you'll see 1000hp street driven twin turbo v8s alongside 200hp lada nivas and shit, followed by some mental rotor drag car. plenty of good reads in the tech sections etc as well. fair bit of aussie assembled tankage, but you cant argue with cubes! hah.
