A desperate wives plea ....

Postby |`Booty|| » Fri Feb 19, 2010 6:59 pm

Hi Guys,

As you all probably know, Cliffs car (GT4 RC) has been sitting in our carport for about 18 months waiting for twins to start sleeping, Christmas' to be over, weddings done etc etc etc ...

ANYWAY - we now have the "one" part that it apparently needs - and *I* need you're help, to help Cliff put it in and then put it all back together, as I'm getting sick of looking at it each time I go to hang out a million nappies and baby bibs!!!

So - any takers? And if so - when?! Please, please, please!!

We need to get it going so that it can be sold to pay of some of our sadly increasing debts - having twins is like having a hole in ALL of your pockets!

Weekends and weeknights work best for us, and if any of you are keen to help out, I'll make sure Cliffs home and there are cold beers in the fridge!

You're probably asking the wrong person, but at present the engine is out, and from what I understand a release bearing needs to be replaced, and then the engine needs to be put back in and the car "should" apparently go again ... perhaps with the help of some fluids.

A sunday with heaps of beers works for me ... Just need to get people that are free!!

To be honest its motivation i need not skills.. its hard to self motivate myself for such a task as if the kids whine ill have to drop the spanners and go to them.. so its hard to get started when i belive im just going to get shovled to stop 2 seconds later.

With a team of people if i do need to hands on feed the kids or somthing at least when i come back somthing has been done unlike doing it myself and thats the key for me getting things done.

To sum up tho its just a case of fitting the release bearing and re fitting the motor, gearbox back into the chassis and wiring it back up - just need to remember were wiring to aftermarket stuff ie Motec ECU and not just plugging in factory stuffs :/

This situation seems like you're standing on the edge of a cliff... Err Cliff :P

The question is, are you about to jump, or are you being pushed? :P
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I am been led down the cliff with the understanding there is tits, ass & booze when i get there..

But on a more serious note 1 year old twins, a wife and a gt-four "ARSEY" dont really mix to well its time to downgrade my teenagneishness and upgrade my husbandness.

i dont belive i married her beacuse she was happy to laugh at my expense mind you but its certainly one of the many fantastic characteristics that made me do so..

a bridge i havent yet got to.. its value really is with anyone buying and what they are prepared to pay..

i guess it depends if i first part out things like the TEIN shocks, Defi Guages, put back factory ecu and sell the motec or if i sell it all as is..

This all said i belive there is allready somone out in the world in the process of selling their Subaru to fund this monster.

I understand having to sell and back it at the same time as not..

If you were to swap out the ECU and sell motec, how much would it be?> :P
