I managed to get a torsen LSD out of a 94 1800cc from mx5mart for $400inc gst on the weekend, he had HEAAPPPS of spare diffs so maybe your dad could give him a call.

When I got my torsen, the guy also gave me the matching drive shaft. But when I disconnected my driveshaft last night, it lined up with the torsens flange. One of the bolts was incorrect, so I suspect the diff in my car has already been replaced...with an open diff, lol.
no idea if that is any use to you/your dad.
