Graduate Job Needed

Postby Petrolhed » Thu Feb 25, 2010 11:00 am

Just Graduated uni with a mechanical engineering degree (BEmech HONS) and now I'm looking to try and use it.

I know its a long shot, but does anyone know of any positions going in the Auckland area?

Cheers

Do the ring around mate, most places over here you can get put through to section managers etc, ask them if they have positions and if you can come in and meet them

And I am a commercial property manager, I get to deal with the systems that are installed into a building.

Petrolhead, keep focussed. Its hard getting that first job, especially in the current climate but something will come up and your career will take off.

You keen to go anywhere? Just NZ or overseas?

I am dealing with Beca at the moment as well.

I work for transfield services and we are doing up a couple of hundred odd houses around NZ for Housing New Zealand.

I am part of managing the project.

NEVER work with housing new zealand! They want every single little bit of paperwork, they want it now, they wont pay anymore than next to nothing and even the slightest variation to a plan like an extra power point means it needs to be fully requoted.
