WRC 2010

So Rally Sweden has been and gone, and Ford are on top with Miko the drivers championship and manufacturers championship.

So, can Ford and Hirvonen do it this year or will it be the same result as last year? Im not sure if you guys know but the way points are awarded for places have changed, so it makes it hard for the likes of Loeb last year to crash out of rallies and still keep in touch with the leaders.

Did I get the year wrong or something? It's 2010 right? And by Kimi do you mean the guy that crashed 3 times in rally sweden?

Apparently Icy roads require more skill than driving around go-kart tracks :P

After following the WRC and watching it coem down to the wire last year at rally GB, I'm hoping that Mikko takes it out this year. But you can never be certain with Loeb in the same competition.

Hopefully Jari-Matti doesn't crash too much this season. He really cocked up a couple of times and lost easy points for ford last season.

You heard right, In the main WRC there are 2, Ford and Citroen split into 4 teams, In the other classes ie, the PWRC and JWRC there are a few others like Subaru, Skoda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi etc...

Nz's own Hayden Paddon is driving a Pirelli backed Evo X in this years PWRC

But next year aren't we meant to see the likes of Arbarth, mini, skoda, and others jump up to the WRC, now that they're going to 1600 turbo's?

Most of those manufacturers you mention are all rumor. It remains to be seen who will leave the IRC and join WRC with the new 1600's, i dont know if the rules have even been agreed upon yet...??

go ken block for the most + biggest crashes of 2010. Good luck to him tho, doin what he loves

Just some mad ideas from Mad Max....

I think the rules were agreed on a couple of weeks ago. Came out about the same time as the thing about F1 teams not allowed to miss races.

From what I read its kinda going back to the Group A type thing, but more limited. i.e you actually have to have a car that is minimally modified from production, and has been made in 500 copies available to the general public.
Hence the Citroen DS3 Sport or race or whatever it is called.

Toyota should enter with a 1600 turbo vitz/echo/yaris, or if they really want to laugh, an IQ.
Since dreams are free I wish they'd bring back the 4age, and make a factory 4agte, with similar specs to the atlantic engines, and make them available to the public for purchase.

wow things have changed

still think toyota should have released a road version of the corolla hatch instead of that 1.8 turbo four dr thing we never got to see over here.

would have sold a few id say.
