Approval Granted.

Wish there were more vids of this thing out there other than the one on You Tube with it on Top Gear in crappy quality.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Is that taking into account time for the car to warm up? If not you've got a couple more minutes up your sleeve, better make the most of it!

If you took 1min 50 seconds of that 2 mins to let it warm up then I would say you would probably live for around 10 more seconds... that thing is freaking mental... however a Tuscan S or Speed 6 is just that right amount of mental....

A GT500 Supra with a 2JZ as its power plant fully built in house by TRD.

Realistically Lexus IS-F the light weight version there about to release.

"Won't get anything quicker for under $80k" made me giggle.... its pretty cool but basically no better power/weight than your typical S14/15 Silvia with basic modifications. I'd try my luck with my commuter ;)

And on that note, my Skyline is pretty much near what I'd have put under the realistic dream car title not that many years ago. Capable of 500hp, really streetable while having good handling, low key and sounds nice while not being abusive - it actually does suit quite a few of my definitions of an ideal car.

One would hope so, but...

I don't recall 3S-GTE's have tapered cam cover, maybe a Caldina version?

thought so, Beams must be the new cool.

ST205 WRC 3SGTE (anti-lag pipes from throttle body to the factory exhaust manifold is the biggest giveaway)

The ST205 3S-GTE WRC I have, it actually has 4 smaller antilag pipes, and is driven by the bottom of the blow off valve instead of just after the throttle body, and speaking of which, noticed the side intake instead of center intake of ST205. Tapered cam cover, different exhaust manifold.

I know it's a differernt beast when it comes to WRC, but I'm just fasinated by the WRC's technology, from engine, down to the active diffs.

It's a WRC engine. Not a factory engine...

Correct, it started as a gen III/IV 3SGTE and they later added the (gen V?) beams head for improved flow. The Lexus link is just marketing, Altezza becomes Lexus, even though the IS200 never came with the 3SGE.

There's still a difference between a Nissan S14/15/Skyline turbo 4/6 and a BMW e30 1UZ V8.

Would take Riley's e30 hands down over any similar valued Nissan any day.

Absolutely - I wasn't questioning the motive for the car being an ideal ride for some, I just laughed at the comment the dude made on the auction. If someone said an E46 M3 beats every car you could get for under $500,000 I'd also laugh, but it won't make it any less of a lusty car for me. I'd probably be pretty tempted on a 1UZ Bimmer over the hoards of S14s which would at least give it a run for its money as well.
