I think you'll have more fun at the SS2000 round Matt - Superlap is just a test day with a lap battle at the end, more or less.

It's going to be a good day though. I'll be there helping to run things on the track.... And I'm sure there will be a lot of spectators.

I was about to enter but i think in the end the distance from auckland was the killer for me. I suppose if i was a bit more competitive i would have made the extra effort. lets hope this one doesnt get canned and has a good turn out. then they may think about bringing it more central to taupo

Really? I thought the A1 track (track 1) was pretty fast... top speed in a fast car would be fairly high, and there are 3-4 straightish pieces.

Its not the top speed, its the corners that kill it. Most corners are like 2nd gear, low speed.

I think Taupo track 2 is a great track... And depending on the car 3rd gear is quite useful for a number of the corners.

Manfeild is the place to be this weekend anyway. Who's coming?

Track 2.. theres no where that you can really scare your self! corners slow. I like big open fast corners where the car is really working hard and moving around alot.
