Hi Everyone

Its that time of year again - only a week or so away from the opening of entries for this years Ashvegas Street Sprints - with them of course being on 8th & 9th of May at Riverside Industrial Park, Ashburton.
Those of you who are interested in entering the best Street Sprint in South Island should give it a thought now - this event fills up quick due to the popularity around the Canterbury region, and often requires being in Vegas on the day of entry at the opening time to get your entry in.

Keep in mind you need to have your car to schedule A (including yourselves) and have a current MSNZ Club membership and MSNZ Clubsport (or higher) license. (Both don't require any exam, just paying some dollars). I can help with any enquiries to do with that. You don't need a rollcage, although recommended (and required if you wish to take passengers).

However this isn't an event that you need years of experience - a lot of entrants show up in their road car they've done just a track day or 2 with - and some not even that. Just stay away from the haybales

Otherwise make a road trip for it to watch, you can bring in your own alcohol, gold coin (or similar) entry, programmes available, commentary, decent food / BBQ vans, free walk around the pits etc etc. Always a bit of carnage and always some excellent racing (and maybe very very occasionally by me).

Be good to see any of you there (racing or spectating!)

Bit of a bugger that its running it the same weekend as Rally NZ, ill be up at that. Great event non the less.

Those who wish to enter, it pays to be very snappy with entries as they all the spots tend to go the first couple of hours after opening.

Yeah... bad timing.

I'm working all weekend there (at Super Trucks) but disappearing for the Saturday morning to go enter.
