gut-wrenching.
even if he had a 2kg handheld available to him............... they don't do diddly. i used 3-4kg to put out a fuel fire that barely melted the paint in the engine bay.

Anyone with any shred of compassion can feel the pain of someone losing their irreplacable labour of love. Whether it's a boat, car, sculpture, painting, novel they were writing, or what ever else that they have put a lot of hard work and time into.

Although I'm sure you're just trolling to some extent Snwtoy. :P

Using a fire extinguisher the correct way makes a huge difference to the effectiveness of it. I can't imagine how gutted you'd be after 10 years of work to see it go up in flames 8O

Well we're getting into semantics here (not to mention OT), but most cat/dog owners would consider their pets family members, as they eat/sleep/express emotion etc as well if not better than many humans :)

I'm sorry if my stance on this car offends you enthusiasts out there, but I do find it amusing, and more so given the reactions here.

and your "only" a tool , show some compassion .

He clearly used the 2kg extinguisher , it's on the ground behind the car in the photo .

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Well yeah ok, the labour of love thing you got me, but still, it's just a starlet - I'm sure the guy will get over it and move on to bigger and better things.

hard to get to the seat of the fire when there sumpgaurds in the way, further to that, it took twice that amount to put Will Cook's car out when the oil line ruptured onto the turbo at Timaru.
unsure about your second remark, i thought i was gonna lose a lot of hard work when my rally wanted to burn.
end of the day, the "PC" firebombs are crap....... bring back Halon.

ACTUAL LOL!!!!

If there's a moment that is okay for a man to break down and cry like a little biarch, this would be it. If it was me I'd cry myself a river.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

In case you've forgotten, this is a car forum...99.9% of people here enjoy wasting time and money on cars.

And car enthusiasts make up a tiny percentage of the population. Not everyone who comes here enjoys wasting money, in fact many are looking to find the best way to spend it without wasting it.

How about you and your opinion do us all a favour and piss off? Seriously, the forum would be better without comments like yours.

It doesn't matter what is lost, if you've had it as an interest in your life for the last 10 years, its clearly going to be pretty important to you. Get a life man, just because somethings not an investment doesn't make it any less important to someone than something that is an investment.

Doors that way --->

That's your opinion and I don't mind if you share it. How about you don't mind if I have one too?

I did say it would be a bummer for the guy, but I can still laugh if I want.

And very very few are here looking for trolls, so.... Yeah, pull your head in.

Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion, not everyone is entitled to voicing it how ever they wish on here especially if it involves being a cock and making stupid comments with the intention of being a troll.
Like it or not, this is not a democracy.
So if you want to be a troll. Bugger off and do it somewhere else.

That, snwtoy is that. No more from you here please.
