Its part of the orignal 500 its just a different spec that Lexus/Toyota are offering for an owner that wants a slightly higher meaner speced car.

I've seen articles from Honda's CEO saying that if they were to build a Supercar it would be very much like the LFA and he also went on to say the car is an absolute Monster.I thought that was a pretty good review from the main competition out of Japan.
